Cultural mediation

We convey history!

How did people in Westphalia live in former times? What did their everyday life look like and does this have something to do with our life today? Whether workshops, guided tours or exploratory sheets: we will accompany you on your journey of discovery through the museum. The open-air museum is a place of experience, communication and learning. Various forms of presentation and mediation make it easier to understand the changes in the everyday and cultural history of Westphalia.

Learning on different levels

The life in the past

During a walk through the cultural landscape and the historic buildings you will learn something about the everyday culture of Westphalia, and in very different ways. In the first instance, we rely on a personal conversation with the museum staff. We are convinced that this enables us to respond to your questions in a very individual way. Of course, you can also delve into texts about the historical houses and the cultural landscape or use the media to get to know the museum.
